WOODWORKING IN THE ROUGH

Two of our grandsons made this checker
game for Grampie's birthday.

They love using the Buck or Bow saw.
They sawed the checkers from our
Christmas tree branches.

The checker board is made of cardboard
coloured with permanent markers.

Each checker is unique.

COASTERS

The boys cut rounds from slightly larger branches.
A generous portion of glue followed by a circle
of brown felt protects furniture from any pitch resin
 coming from the wood.

Time for hot cocoa.

KEY HOLDER

The key holders are also from our Christmas tree.

The section of trunk was split with a hatchet.

Using a cordless drill holes are made in the
back for hanging.

The boys love using power tools.

A place to hang my keys full of good memories!
